The main idea was to create a social spot for the newly developed postindustrial harbor area.

Because of their circular shape Malmö Nordmills have become a spot of great significance. By making a hidden inside art exhibition with a big plaza around the silo the shape of the odd building has been enhanced and given a completely new meaning. Once opened to the harbor the bottom became integrated with both southern and nothern side of the city, what gave an opportunity for the users to walk freely between it as well as to admire the wole structure from the inside, what has never been done before. The inner part of the silo became an enormous exhibiting area lit up by the mirror cubes bouncing the light in.

One of the the necessary steps before pursuing the transformation was to check whether the old drawings were sufficient enough to be based on. In order to chceck the accuracy we had 3D scanned the whole building, what allowed us to make necessary corrections.
